SupaNames is a double award winning business & consumer web host with over 20,000 active users worldwide. Since being the first in the UK to introduce bundled low cost professional hosting & domain packages in 1999, SupaNames has turned into a multi-million pound service provider. In 2003 & 2004 we were crowned “Best Consumer Web Host” at the influential Future UK Internet Awards, and we’ve been shortlisted at the awards since the start.
We’ve hosted sites, servers & solutions for a number of key clients including ITV (various progamme sites), Royal Meteorological Society, Midge Ure, Welsh Environmental Agency, MTV, Namco, Emap, RSPCA, NHS trusts, Welsh Rugby League, British Library, Communication Workers Union & The Church of England.
I’ve got a few sites (Linux and Windows) with Supanames together with client sites and their OEM branding option works really well. Support is quick enough and there’s a good customer forum with regular participants. We’ve had one or two “incidents” where a site was down for a few hours but this was a hardware failure which no host can completely avoid and they resolved it reasonably quickly. Overall, I can’t think of any improvements on the Supanames service and even their pricing is fine. I intend to keep using them for my existing sites and to use them in future.
